OK, I am a big softie. I like to say that happened after I became a father but those that know me, know that I’ve always been like this. Even though I cringe and cutsie little things like this, it really did make me laugh. Now if only Mrs. Jergy would allow me to show this to our little Jergy. This has been making the rounds a lot recently.

“The shiny guy always worries.”

Only 3 more episodes. I don’t know about you, but I got a real ‘calm before the storm’ feeling about this episode. As always, spoilers about after the jump.

Manly post

So about a week ago the seat back to my car broke. Just another thing to remind be how old my car is. I delt with it for a little while but when you have to commute 45 minutes to work as if you are preparing for a drive-by it just became too much. So I’m off to deal with Mudfoot at the junk yard tomorrow to get a replacement seat. As expected I have to pull the seat myself. It doesn’t seem too hard, but then again, I can imagine sitting there for 3 hours just looking for the bolts. Wish me luck.

Did the trailer blow my socks off? No. Did I giggle through the whole thing? YES!!!!!

Enjoy the first look at Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I really can’t believe its been almost 20 years since we’ve seen Dr. Jones battling the Nazis once again. Where the hell has the time gone?

The zone

We live on a dead-end street. Its quite nice in that street traffic is kept to a minimum and noise is fairly low. Right around Christmas we noticed some construction going on at the end of our street. You see the end of our street (being dead-end) faces the backyards of houses on the street perpendicular to ours. So the construction in question was one of these homeowners deciding to put his property to use by constructing a garage in his back yard. What’s the problem you say? Well, first off, the problem is this is not an ordinary garage. You see this garage looks like it could comfortably house 4 school buses inside of it. Ok so its an eyesore that looms at the end of our street. Fine. But then other things started to come out about the structure. First, the man refused to say what he was building it for. I mean why build it so big? Especially when the permit he obtained for building it was for a much smaller structure. Then comes the ultimate. It seems he was building the entrance to this garage at the end of our street. SO, putting two and two together, he was building a shop to do work on vehicles and wanted the only road leading to his new business to be my street! Fat chance.

Luckily we have neighbors who have nothing else to do but keep an eye on everyone else. We were immediately able to put a stop to it for now. But then I hear last night from one of my neighbors that he is attempting to change our zone from residential to commercial. Are you kidding me?? I have no idea if he even has a chance of getting it done, but it means now we have to start a crusade to make sure it doesn’t. This blows.

I can’t believe we’re at the halfway point already. First let me address some of the negativity I’ve been reading regarding this season. I’m just having a hard time understanding why all of the sudden people want to send this show up the river. (I’m talking to YOU Slate) The show has always been a rare gem among the mire that is television. It has put its claim on the fact that it is real and authentic. But now I’m reading all kinds of complaints that the show has ‘lost its way’. Phooey to you and phooey to that claim. I just don’t see it. OK, so if you really wanted to pick things apart you could. You can do that with any show. I understand this show is held to a higher standard than most because of past seasons. But STILL I’m finding everything about this season pretty much in line to the previous 4 seasons. I just don’t get it. Maybe I’m the idiot. Either way, it’ll be a sad day when it goes. And if you aren’t enjoying it, then STOP WATCHING. And yes I realize how foolish my statement is to tell critics whose job it is to watch the show to stop watching. I don’t care!

As always, spoilers abound after the jump.

This is the best news I’ve heard all week!

E! is reporting:

“Jason Bateman has just confirmed…that the creative minds behind Arrested Development (Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard) have put the wheels in motion toward a major motion picture of the Fox TV comedy so many of us adore.

“I can confirm that a round of sniffing has started,” Bateman says. “Any talk is targeting a poststrike situation, of course. I think, as always, that it’s a question of whether the people with the money are willing to give our leader, Mitch Hurwitz, what he deserves for his participation. And I can speak for the cast when I say our fingers are crossed.”
